Your blog was set up by an Iowa native who has spent his entire life here, with the exception of a couple of years in the military, a summer at school in Indiana, and some vacations here and there.
Indiana has a lot of nice things going for it. Minnesotans will lay claim to “Minnesota nice,” and that’s fine. As much as I like to needle my wife and my in-laws with Missouri jokes, Missouri’s a fine place, too.
But I’m from Iowa. Always have been, always will be.

I’m from Iowa too & it dawned on me yesterday that I’ve been gone for 20 years! I’ve lived in Ohio, Minnesota & Colorado since leaving Iowa in 1988. We went back to Des Moines for a visit in July & had a great time driving around and reminiscing. My favorite spot was and still is Greenwood Park. I was not surprised at how the city has grown and there is so much to do and see. We also went to the biggest & best farmer’s market ever!
